Introducing…

February 9, 2009 Joe Buffone Leave a comment

…”Mr. B!”

Thanks to the powers that be at RZR, I’m the “new guy” around town.  I feel I should bow to the almighty Zimmett now.

I graduated from the College of Communications at Penn State University and have written a few recruiting stories for IrishIllustrated, a Notre Dame sports site on the Rivals.com network.

Now that the boring stuff is over, there is a lot of (hopefully) great reading coming up.  We’ll start with profiles and projections of draft eligible prospects from all BCS-conference schools, starting tomorrow with the Big 10.  Our first mock draft will premier February 15, so stay tuned!

Everything’s better oven-baked

January 24, 2009 Eric Zimmett Leave a comment

Taste-tests are filling the TV and radio airwaves these days, with franchises everywhere boasting better taste in a slow economy.

There’s Burger King’s “Whopper Virgins,” Pepsi vs. Coke, Quizno’s vs. Subway, Dunkin’ Donuts vs. Starbucks, and most recently Domino’s has entered the mix, with ads–from agency Crispin Porter & Bogusky–announcing its subs beat Subway’s by a two-to-one margin in their taste test.

Well, Subway responded with a letter. And below you will find a video with Domino’s response, which aired on Wednesday’s American Idol.
