Harrison, Colts not done yet

February 24, 2009 Eric Zimmett Leave a comment

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Isray has said the team is making an effort to retain 13-year vet Marvin Harrison, The Indianapolis Star is reporting.

“Marvin and I are talking (today) at mid-afternoon and we’ll see where we go from there,” Irsay was quoted in The Star.

“I’m not going to start talking like he’s not here, because nothing’s been determined officially by any stretch.”

As reported by Mike Chappell at Indystar.com, Isray said Harrison’s agent Tom Condon was “premature” in his announcement that Harrison would be released.

Condon told the Associated Press Monday that the two sides ”were not able to come to any kind of agreement. It was not contentious and the Colts have agreed to release him.”

Harrison under investigation in shooting

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison is under investigation for a shooting that occured earlier in the week at a Philadelphia night club owned by the star receiver himself.  Harrison has yet to be arrested or charged with a crime.

ESPN reported that the shooting took place Tuesday afternoon outside of Harrison’s club, Playmakers. Per ESPN, the alleged victim came into the bar around 5 p.m. and engaged in an argument with Harrison.  The alleged victim then left and Harrison reportedly followed him. Gunfire then broke out and the alleged victim was hit in the hand.

Some other stuff happened but I’m tired of writing about a shooting three days ago that reportedly occured between the alleged victim and a possibly involved Harrison. So I’m gonna wait until charges are actually filed.
