The New Orleans Saints have cut cornerback Mike McKenzie, PFT has posted.

The Arizona Cardinals have been busy lately, signing four players Thursday: TE Anthony Becht, C Donovan Raiola, G Elton Brown and DT Ronald Leisle.

There are varying reports on Dante Stallworth’s blood alcohol content after the car accident that claimed the life of a 59-year-old man. All of the recent reports, however, have Dante over the legal limit, according to PFT.

Georgia QB Matt Stafford put on a show at his Pro Day workout, displaying a strong, accurate arm, writes Gil Brandt of NFL.com.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review’s Scott Brown believes the Steelers will show no interest in free-agent WR Torry Holt.

The Jaguars traded DT Tony McDaniel to the Miami Dolphins Wednesday in exchange for a seventh-round pick.

Jets RB Thomas Jones was a no-show for the third straight day, which, as The Newark Star-Ledger writes, could affect the team’s draft plans if his absence continues through April.

The Cleveland Browns have issued a statement from Dante Stallworth, the Cleveland Plain Dealer has reported.

The Steelers signed two veterans Tuesday, lineman Trai Essex and cornerback Fernando Bryant, writes the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

New executive director of the NFL Players Associations DeMaurice Smith plans to meet with commissioner Roger Goodell on Friday, according to the Houston Chronicle.

The Tennessean has learned that the Titans and return man Mark Joneshave agreed to terms on a multiyear deal. Jones will help fill the void left by Chris Carr. The Titans also received a visit Wednesday from free-agent CB Donald Strickland.

The Raiders re-signed return man Justin Miller and defensive tackle William Joseph, though most of the sports world only found out when the players showed up for offseason workouts, writes David White of the San Francisco Chronicle.

According to the Detroit Free Press, teammates of Daunte Culpepper say the Lions signal caller has lost weight. 

The Packers have re-signed DE Michael Montgomery, according to Pete Dougherty of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

Free-agent safety Darren Sharper has agreed to terms with the Saints, per StarTribune.com

Cardinals QB Kurt Warner underwent hip surgeryon Tuesday, writes The Arizona Republic’s Bob McManaman.

Free-agent tackle Marvel Smith met with the 49ers Wednesday, according to John Crumpacker of the San Francisco Chronicle.

The Kansas City Chiefs have called a 5:30 p.m. ET press conference to announce a signing, but the player’s identity has not been released. Ooohhh the suspense. Those tricky Chiefs. The Kansas City Star is betting on Orlando Pace.

Update: The Chiefs have announced the addition of three players: WR Bobby Engram, LB Monty Beisel and WR Terrance Copper.

The Baltimore Sun is reporting the Ravens have will visit with free-agent TE L.J. Smith (Eagles). Profootballtalk has learned that Smith is already signed– a reported one-year, $1.5 million deal.

PFT has also reported that the Ravens have signed CB/KR Chris Carr.

Adam Schefter of NFL Network is reporting that the Panthers will not trade DE Julius Peppers to the Patriots.

The Cardinals have re-signed LB Clark Haggans, the team has announced.

Running back Marshawn Lynch is meeting with Commissioner Roger Goodell Tuesday to discuss Lynch’s arrest and pending suspension. Clark Judge of CBSSports.com is reporting the suspension will be “one but no more than two” regular-season games.

Profootballtalk has been exploring the options for the Broncos and trading QB Jay Cutler.

The Saints have agreed to terms with DL Paul Spicer, Rotoworld has learned from the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Free Agency Quick Hits – Day 6

The Baltimore Ravens are close to re-signing LB Ray Lewis, NFL.com is reporting.

Adam Schefter has also learned that the Saints have re-signed WR Devery Henderson.

As our very own Sheila McCarthy posted this afternoon, free-agent QB Kurt Warner has re-signed with the Arizona Cardinals, on a two-year, $23 million deal with $19 million guaranteed.

The Giants have added safety C.C. Brown (must be Italian…), Adam Schefter is reporting. The deal is for one year.

 Jacksonville Jaguars OT Khalif Barnes is reportedly visiting with the Oakland Raiders Wednesday, per the SportingNews.

Free-agent DE Demetric Evans is said to be in negotiations with both his former team, the Redskins, and the 49ers. According to Schefter, he is expected to make a decision by Friday.

Profootballtalk has learned that the Atlanta Falcons have re-signed DE Chauncey Davis to a four-year deal believed to be in the range of $14 million.

Free Agency Quick Hits – Day 4

Free agent RB LaMont Jordan and FB John Kuhn are visiting the Cardinals today, Rotoworld has reported.

Wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh (I’m never going to be able to spell that name on my own…kinda like Mississippi) left Minnesota last night without a contract, and headed home to Los Angeles, StarTribune.com has reported. 

Phillip Buchanon will reportedly visit the Lions Monday night, per PFT. Buchanon started his career with the Raiders, where he showed signs of being a play-maker, but became a much better cover man with the Bucs.

The Saints have made an offer to CB Ron Bartell, per PFT.

With some room to move in terms of cap space, the Patriots are rumored to be making a move for Panthers DE Julius Peppers.

The Dolphins are reportedly not interested in free-agent wide receiver Laveranues Coles, even though it would reunite him with former teammate Chad Pennington.

KFFL has reported that the Raiders may be interesting in acquiring Rams OT Orlando Pace.

Free-agent QB Kurt Waner is expected to visit the 49ers today, KFFL has posted.

RZR Tuesday Morning Notes

The Arizona Cardinals are expected to place the franchise tag on LB Karlos Dansby, and not veteran QB Kurt Warner, Adam Schefter of NFL Network is reporting.

The Baltimore Ravens have bid adieu to cornerback Chris McCalister.

“Retired” quarterback Brett Favre commented “I forsee getting the impulse to play.” Oh, boy. This one might not be over.

Veteran running back Fred Taylor has been cut by the Jags, after the team refused Taylor’s offer to take a voluntary pay cut.

The Broncos released six players Monday, including DE John Engelberger, TE Nate Jackson, LB Niko Koutouvides, S Marquand Manuel, DT Dewayne Robertson and LB Jamie Winborn, Profootballtalk has reported.

Update 1: The New Orleans Saints have dropped veteran running back Deuce McCalister. (Editor’s note: I was going to report the Saints dropped a Deuce…McCalister, but thought it would be in bad taste).

Update 2: Quarterback Daunte Culpepper and the Detroit Lions have restructured his one-year deal, Profootballtalk has learned.
